Southern State of Mind

Where do I even begin with this shoot... first of all, we would like to thank Briana Macon of Macon Photography again (and again and again) for these completely swoon worthy photos!! Seriously, we are so excited to finally share these with everyone! What started over a year ago as just a concept for a girly southern styled shoot became this gorgeous array of fresh florals and greenery combined with a soft color palate and girly details. And biscuits! Who doesn't like biscuits in the South?

This shoot was also a chance for our team to really showcase all of the great ceremony and reception locations at Holly Ridge Manor. When you book this venue, you can choose anywhere on the grounds to hold your celebrations! We LOVE the slanted tree at the front of the house as a ceremony site. Just one look at the photos and you'll understand why. Gorgeous! The long driveway would also be the perfect place for a small ceremony or exit at the end of the night! The pool deck could hold cocktail hour or a seated reception of up to 50 people. And let's not forget the many fields with white fencing and horses roaming in the background. Best of all, the venue is dog friendly! There are literally so many settings for great photos and we wanted to showcase that as much as possible.

The laurel wreaths we used for place settings definitely make a statement against the linens and dinnerware from Distinctive and florals from Fluttering Flowers. And let's not forget another amazing set of stationary from our friend April of PaperDolls Designs! Our bride is in a Tara Keely gown (which is also available in blush... hello pretty) from Pure English and the groom is in a traditional seersucker. We love the traditional southern garments on our edgy couple. We couldn't have made this shoot happen without all of our amazing local vendors and awesome models! Thanks everyone! Enjoy!
